Hotel Plaza Colon was originally the home to many of the renowned families of Granada, the last of which decided to transform the house into a hotel. The three neighboring properties were acquired while always taking special care to keep the style and architecture of the original house. The current facade of the hotel is the same its’ had since the beginning of the 19th century.

The Hotel
Plaza Colon is a boutique hotel located in the historic center of Granada, just 45 minutes from Managua International Airport. The hotel is a unique and elegant building that preserves the original style and architecture of the XIX century. With internal courtyards and balconies overlooking the Cathedral, the hotel offers 27 guest-rooms fully equipped with all the amenities of a modern hotel. The hotel also enjoys a privileged location that is close to the main tourist attractions and restaurants in Granada.

You can start your day enjoying breakfast prepared with the freshest locally grown ingredients, accompanied by the best Nicaragua coffee, grown in the northern mountains of the country. We offer a wide variety Nicaraguan, continental, American and healthy options – all served a-la-carte or buffet style.

At the bar, you’ll enjoy the national cocktail “El Macuá”. You’ll also have the option of enjoying classic cocktails, a diverse selection of wines and national beers – all while enjoying Central Park.
